Posnaturalezas poéticas. Pensamiento ecológico y políticas de la extrañeza en la poesía latinoamericana contemporánea examines the environmental and political significance of the postnatural turn in contemporary Latin American poetry. This study shows that contemporary poetry employs poetic estrangement and diverse media to register and resist the acceleration of extractivism at the end of the XX century. Through close analyses of poems by poets from Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Wall Mapu, Nicaragua, and the Paraná Delta, this study seeks to understand the political role of poetic form in shaping and negotiating socio-ecological knowledge for the region and the planet.
