Argentine-born director, screenwriter and producer, Julia Solomonoff presented a screening of her noted film Nobody's Watching at Herring Hall on Friday, November 22nd. The programming included a public dialogue with Prof. José Negroni Cicerchia. The audience of fifty guests was gratified to have Ms. Solomonoff field their questions about her remarkable film on issues ranging from the invisibility of immigrants and the broken dreams that they possess when confronted with the realities of modern day New York.
The programmatic activity was preceded by a lunch between Ms. Solomonoff and Rice University students from SPAN 406 (Latin America Cinema) at Cohen House.
The innovative director's appearance also attracted the presence of members of Casa Argentina, a Houston-based cultural organization.
The renowned and celebrated Ms. Solomonoff currently teaches at NYU.
